Mrs. Hilarczyk is a sixth grade language arts teacher here at IMS. She also loves to read. She is going to give some helpful tips for reading a book!
Panther Press: How did you find your interest in reading?
Mrs. Hilarczyk: I’ve always been a reader.
Panther Press: When did you find your interest in reading
Mrs. Hilarczyk: My whole life ever since I was a little kid.
Panther Press: Did anyone inspire you to read, if so, who?
Mrs. Hilarczyk: My mom because she read to me and my sisters every night and my aunt was a librarian so whatever book I wanted to read she would give the book to me.
Panther Press: Did you ever make a student enjoy reading, if so, how?
Mrs. Hilarczyk: I hope so! Most kids do.
Panther Press: How long do you read a day?
Mrs. Hilarczyk: If it’s a good day, an hour.
Panther Press: How often do you read?
Mrs. Hilarczyk: Every day.
Panther Press: Have you ever liked a book so much that you wanted to read it over and over again?
Mrs. Hilarczyk: Yes, some of my favorite books are the books I read to my class.
Panther Press: Do your kids like to read?
Mrs. Hilarczyk: Yes they are just like me, they will read for hours and hours.
Panther Press: Did you read non-stop when you were a little girl?
Mrs. Hilarczyk: Yes!
Panther Press: Last question, will you ever stop reading?
Mrs. Hilarczyk: I hope not! That would be a miserable life if I did stop reading.
