Sumita Ghosh: Oh yes, I am doing well and nice to meet you too.
Panther Press: What is your favorite Indian dish?
Sumita: My favorite Indian dish is Biryani. Briyani is a tasty rice that has spices and toppings like chicken, egg, onions, and more.
Panther Press: What is the hardest Indian dish you have made?
Sumita: The hardest Indian dish I have made is Mughlai Paratha. Also, this is a Bengali dish that is stuffed with stuffing, crispy, and golden brown.
Panther Press: Why so?
Sumita: It is a very difficult Bengali dish to make compared to many others and takes a long time to make.
Panther Press: What do Indians mostly eat on a regular basis?
Sumita: They eat mostly rice, roti, some vegetables, some lentils, and maybe who are non-vegetarian they add some fish or chicken.
Panther Press: Are most Indian dishes spicy and vegetarian? Yes or no.
Sumita: No.
Panther Press: In addition, can you tell me what most Indian dishes are?
Sumita: Mostly Indian cuisine is flavorful, aromatic, with lots of spices and very tasty. Also not all Indian dishes are vegetarian, some are also non-vegetarian.
Panther Press: Cool, I thought Indian dishes were spicy. What food would you recommend to people who don’t like spicy food?
Sumita: Some include Paneer, Dosa, and Idli Sambar.
Panther Press: What would you recommend to people who like spicy food?
Sumita: Chicken Tikka Masala, Biryani, and Chana Masala are some of my favorites.
Panther Press: What are some dishes you would recommend someone to try?
Sumita: I would recommend Briyani.
Panther Press: Is biryani spicy or not ? Yes or no.
Sumita: It depends.
Panther Press: What are some foods that you see on the streets of India, that you would recommend someone to go for?
Sumita: I would recommend Pani Puri, Kathi Roll, and Vada Pao. Pani Puri are semolina puffs that you put a variety of toppings in.
Panther Press: That’s interesting. What desserts would you recommend?
Sumita: Rasgulla, Gulab Jamun, and Mishti Doi are some good picks. Gulab Jamun is a brown, round, dessert that has a yummy sticky syrup with.
Panther Press: Okay, what are some popular Indian restaurants you would recommend to any person who hasn’t gone?
Sumita: First of all, there are so many restaurants that are popular in India, depending on where you go, but in Hyderabad, Paradise Biryani is a popular choice.
Panther Press: Do you think Indian cuisine is special? Yes or no.
Sumita: Yes.
Panther Press: Why so?
Sumita: In addition to my answer, I think this is because it uses a variety of different spices unlike most other cuisines.
Panther Press: Why did you recommend these out of the other Indian dishes?
Sumita: Most people love it.
Panther Press: Lastly, what advice would you give to someone who wants to try out Indian cuisine?
Sumita: Just try out Indian food, it’s just amazing! It is nothing like what you have eaten, it will blow your mind.
