Ms. Weiser is 6th grade health and gym teacher and enjoys working out with her students and has some different ways on how to improve her student physical health.
Panther Press- How would you describe yourself ?
Ms. Weiser – I would describe myself as outgoing, friendly, athletic and always wanting to learn new thing.
Panther Press – What do you like about the school?
Ms.Weiser- I like the students, I like the staff, and I like the administration like Ms. Cilento and Mr. Sealander.
Panther Press – What are your values?
Ms.Weiser – My values are family, gratitude and kindness.
Panther Press-What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Ms. Weiser- My strengths include my motivation to wake up and workout very early and my weaknesses are my impatience with people and things in life. I want things to come to me right away.
Panther press- Why did you want to become a Physical Ed. teacher?
Ms. Weiser- I always wanted to become a teacher because I love health and working out so those combined together brought me to Physical Ed.
Panther press-What do you see yourself as in the future?
Ms.Weiser- Hopefully married, having kids and living in Point Pleasant where I grew up.
Panther press- How did you feel when you got the job as a school gym teacher?
Ms. Weiser – I was happy and excited because I got right out of college and I know that I had friends that worked here so I was excited to work with them
Panther Press – Why do you think it is important to have a gym in schools?
Ms. Weiser- Because not everyone is aware of how much physical Ed. can do and how much you should get in a day especially as kids so it’s important for them to move so I think it is as much as important as math and language arts.
Panther Press – What do you want to accomplish in this job?
Ms. Weiser – I want 100% or 90% of students reaching their goals.
Panther Press – How do you track students’ fundamental gym concepts?
Ms. Weiser- Through the pacer test, the sit-up test, basically any skills test we do. Because that’s what we teach you and we test you on if you improved or not improving.
Panther Press – What are the qualities or resources you need to become a gym teacher?
Ms. Weiser- You need to have a degree in physical education and health. You have to pass 2 exams in order to get that certificate and you have to pass the state exam and student teaching there a lot you have to do with it but I would say it is fairly not difficult.
Panther Press- What do you know about our school?
Ms. Weiser – I know our school is diverse, I know that it is one of the better middle schools if not the best out of all of them in the district. I know it’s a big school with tons of kids and is mainly behaved.

Ms.Weiser- No there isn’t anything I would like to add.
