Mr. DiNuzzo is a teacher at Iselin Middle School. He believes very strongly in the Growth Mindset. He is a Financial Literacy teacher who covers several topics within the subject. He loves to see students grow.
Panther Press: Hello, we are here on behalf of the Panther Press. How is your day so far?
Mr. DiNuzzo: So far, so good. The weather is good outside.
Panther Press: How do you feel teaching students about financial decisions?
Mr. DiNuzzo: Fantastic, teaching taxes, tips, and all those great things.
Panther Press: What is your inspiration to teach here?
Mr DiNuzzo: I want to help people get to where they’re going in life.
Panther Press: How long have you been teaching at Iselin Middle School?
Mr. DiNuzzo: It is my 12th year here at IMS.
Panther Press: What would you have been if you were not a teacher?
Mr. DiNuzzo: I would have maybe been a Business Person. I probably would have gone into stocks or something like that.
Panther Press: Why would you have been a business person?
Mr. DiNuzzo: Having that position seems like a cool job, making a lot more money.
Panther Press: What is your dream vacation place?
Mr. DiNuzzo: My dream vacation place is Hawaii, Honolulu especially. It is a great place.
Panther Press: Are you happy with your life as it is?
Mr. DiNuzzo: Yeah, life is a fun ride.
Panther Press: What are your favorite memories of teaching Financial Literacy here?
Mr. DiNuzzo: Any time I hear the students say, “I didn’t know that!”
Panther Press: What is your favorite thing to do with your students?
Mr. DiNuzzo: Showing them different things that they may not know already.
Panther Press: What type of financial literacy do you teach?
Mr. DiNuzzo: Teaching to sixth grade is telling a bit of everything.
Panther Press: Do your students easily understand?
Mr. DiNuzzo: I hope so, I don’t know.
Panther Press: Why do you believe so strongly in the growth mindset?
Mr. DiNuzzo: Everything is connected to school. I want you to believe in yourself, it all starts in your brain.
Panther Press: Is there anything you would like to add?
Mr. DiNuzzo: No, this has been very cool. You had a lot of great questions, I appreciate seeing you guys, you were my students. You forever will be my students.
