I interviewed Kyle McGarry about why we can’t go inside the locker rooms at the gym.
Panther Press: Hi.
Kyle McGarry: Hello.
Press: What is your name?
Mr.McGarry: Kyle McGarry.
Press: Why can’t we go inside the locker room?
Mr.McGarry: We were able to last year. Last year students were able to change clothes in there. I think it kind of started a lot of different problems. We had a few different issues that happened in the locker rooms, so it just gave everyone headaches.
Press: Do other people use the locker room?
Mr.McGarry: The basketball team changes in the locker room. The sports teams change in there.
Press: What is the locker room used for?
Mr.McGarry: Not really much right now. Just our office is in there.
Press: Is there a shower in there?
Mr.McGarry: So we got a new locker room. It is a new locker room. Many years ago there was an old locker room and that had a shower in there.
Press: Is the girls’ locker room different than the boys’ locker room?
Mr.McGarry: It is the same set up.
Press: Are the lockers in there harder to open than a normal locker?
Mr.McGarry: With those lockers, we gave a lock to put on the lock but some kids put inappropriate words on them.
Press: Did you guys ever use the locker rooms?
Mr.McGarry: Yes, we did last year and before Covid. They used it before Covid.
Press: If you were up to change it would you?
Mr.McGarry: I like the way it is because now we have a few less headaches.
