- How has your day been today?
Today has been a good day. We had heroes and cool kids come over, so I had some time to take a break, and overall, everything has been great.
- Why did you want to become a teacher?
I wanted to have a lot of free time in the beginning because I loved music, which I was interested in, and I also enjoyed playing different types of instruments.
- Why IMS, and not any other school?
I used to work at AMS, but AMS doesn’t have the students going to JFK. So, I actually split my year between JFK in the fall and IMS in the spring.
- What languages can you fluently speak?
I can speak Chinese and English fluently, and I know a little bit of Spanish.
- If you had to teach any other subject, what would it be?
I would like to teach ESL kids because I think it would be very fun. Outside of that, I would love to teach history or math.
- How do you think your students would describe you in a few words?
They would describe me as funny; they think I have funny jokes, and overall, I like to make people laugh.
- Who do you look up to as a teacher?
I look up to Mrs. Cilento.
- Do you think there are any benefits to being a teacher?
There are lots of benefits, including health benefits. The salary might not be high, but teachers don’t work as much as other professionals.
- What is your favorite part about being a teacher?
My favorite part is making people laugh and bringing them happiness.
- How do you find the kids you teach?
they are hard to teach, noisy, or do they listen to you?
