The previous name of Mumbai was Bombay which was changed in 1995. The shivering and coldest capital of Maharashtra is Nagpur. Geography
In my opinion, Maharashtra is very large and it has a long coast to the west called Arabian Sea. You think that is just a random coastal region in the west of Maharashtra, It is also known as Konkan region. Konkan region is home to its largest city called Mumbai which I talked about earlier. Maharashtra is dry also, and has some forest and medium elevations in the Konkan region. The Western Ghats or Deccan Plateaus also act like a border gate that checks the visitors from Pune and then they’re allowed to come to Mumbai and the Konkan Region. Maharashtra has 4 rivers called Narmada,Bhima,Krishna and Godavari. These rivers play an important role for purification and it is a drinking water source for the locals. Maharashtra also has some mining resources and important rocks. This mining also contributes to Maharashtra’s Economy.
Climate
If I talk about the climate of Maharashtra, It is so hot that if you step barefoot, your feet are just going to be fried if you step for 30 seconds. I am not kidding, it is true.Maharashtra is often dry and like a rainy paradise in monsoon seasons.Always in monsoon seasons, It floods nearly every year.Basically in July and June. Also, Maharashtra has some tropical monsoon and hot arid climate. The shivering and chilly season in Maharashtra is in January and the sweating and humid season in Maharashtra is May. If you went to a hill station and saw a summit, you’d probably seen the clouds passing through. That is often caused by hot, arid and rainy season conditions making this a rain shadow effect.
Culture & Cuisine
If I talk about the culture, Maharashtra has a very diverse culture. Each region in Maharashtra has its own customs, traditions, attire, food, folk songs and ethnicity.Maharashtra has diverse religions like Hinduism,Muslim and Christianity. But, the gods of each region are derived from Hinduism.
