Mrs. Malleck is a teacher at IMS. She teaches physical education and health.We interview her because we wanted to know more about Mrs. Malleck and her work at IMS.

Press:Hi,How are you?

Mrs. Malleck: Hi, good, how about you?

Press: Good, thank you, How long have you been teaching for?

Mrs. Malleck: I have been teaching for 7 years. I was teaching at another school originally where I grew up. I have been at Iselin Middle School for 6 years.

Press: What’s one of your hidden talents?

Mrs. Malleck: I run marathons and the next one I have is the Boston Marathon is on April 20th.

Press:What are your favorite parts of teaching?

Mrs. Malleck: Teaching Phys-ed and health.

Press:What sports do you like?

Mrs. Malleck: Soccer and running.

Press: What is your culture?

Mrs.Malleck: In my background I am Italian and German.

Press: If you had a super power what would it be?

Mrs. Malleck: To help people.

Press:What is your favorite holiday?

Mrs. Malleck: I like Christmas.

Press: What do you like about this school ?

Mrs. Malleck: I like everything here.

Press:What was your dream job as a child?

Mrs. Malleck: It was phs-ed/ Health what I teach now.

Premika Chinnam, Reporter

Premika Chinnam is a student at IMS. She lives in Iselin, NJ with her family. Chinnam has a sister, Manasvi, who is studying in college, Parsons The new school. Chinnam grew up in Jersey City until she was 4 years old and then she moved to Iselin. Chinnam loves sports. Also, she was even in track for 2 years, and she even does tennis and pickle ball. She loves playing pickle ball and tennis with her dad. She played track in her elementary school and has gone to track meets as well. In addition to liking sports, she enjoys reading. She likes to read graphic novels such as “The Baby-Sitters Club.” Chinnam also does roller skating. In fact, she has done every level of rollerskating and has a trophy.

Hallie Nelson, Reporter

Hallie-Srayah Nelson was a dancer and was born in Brooklyn, New York. Her mom is Dominican, Haitian and Italian and her dad is half Haitian and Jamaican. Her mom and dad got divorced in 2020. She got the highest in reading in her elementary school. She has a sister and wants a bunny when she grows up. She moved to New Jersey when she was five. She loves to sleep, play volleyball, basketball, and soccer in the summer.

Prisha Patel, Reporter

Prisha Patel is a student at IMS. She lives with her parents and is a student in IMS. Patel grew up in Union but was born in New Brunswick, NJ. She loves to play volleyball, soccer, and watch her phone. Patel loves to go shopping at the Menlo Park Mall. She hates boring movies that are not funny nor scary. Her favorite singer is Olivia Rodrigo and she loves Kansas City Chiefs and the Raiders. She thinks football is cool and may be interesting to watch, especially the Super Bowl.
