Mr. Wasko is a new teacher here at IMS. He teaches English Language Arts at room 508. He is a very silly teacher, and he loves to read books. This is All About Mr. Wasko so you can get to know him.
Press: Hey Mr. Wasko, how are you doing today?
Mr. Wasko: I am doing wonderfully.
Press: Shall we start the interview now?
Mr. Wakso: Yes you may, absolutely.
Press: How did you start your ELA career?
Mr. Wasko: I loved books and I worked as a camp counselor and I figured why not do both.
Press: What is your favorite thing to teach throughout the school year?
Mr. Wasko: Arguments and debates. I like when kids argue, it’s fun.
Press: Do you have any kids?
Mr. Wasko: I do, I have two.
Press: What are their names?
Mr: Wasko: My son’s name is Jackson, he is nine, and I have a daughter named Zoey, she is two.
Press: How do you feel about kids eating gum in class?
Mr. Wasko: I hate it, I despise it, it should stop.
Press: How do you keep your kids engaged in your class?
Mr. Wasko: By being as silly as possible.
Press: What are your expectations for your students in your class?
Mr. Wasko:To get straight As or I will be furious.
Press: How do you make your class fun for your students?
Mr. Wasko: It’s not fun at all. I’m the 3rd meanest teacher in the Eastern Seaboard.
Press: What do you love most about teaching ELA?
Mr. Wasko: Honestly, when a kid enjoys a book he didn’t know he would like.
