Stella Joseph is one of Iselin Middle School’s 8th-grade science teachers. Joseph became a teacher because she is very passionate about science, her mother was a teacher, and she truly looked up to her mother.
Joseph’s mother was interested in science, in fact she would do little labs and experiments for her and Joseph’s sister. That is one of the reasons why Joseph really got engaged into the topic of science. She would do voluntary jobs for being a teacher; her first ever voluntary job was teaching Language Arts. That’s when she realized that teaching was her passion. This was Joseph’s starting point of teaching.
Joseph truly loved doing little labs with her mother and sister. It was a bonding experience for her, enjoying time with them and also learning new things everyday. Joseph wants her students to understand science and be successful in life. She says everytime she does little labs, seeing the smiles on her students’ faces makes her happy. She is a very kind-hearted person.
Joseph has a soft heart in reality, she’s a kind-hearted person and teacher. She started working at Iselin Middle School a few years back. Joseph encourages her students and tries not to worry them, and most students think she is an understanding teacher. She knows a lot about science, mostly because of her mother. She says that teaching makes her happy knowing she’s letting her students understand the topic of science, and the backstory behind it.
“Seeing the excitement on my students’ faces just for little simple labs makes my day knowing they are learning something new and also enjoying the lab,” Joseph said.
You can clearly see how much she cares about her students. She cares about their education and well-being.
Joseph learned a lot from her mom, but if she knew one thing, it was to never give up on things she wanted to accomplish. Her mom helped her and encouraged her and she does the same for her students.
