The school’s marching band is known for its amazing performances, both powerful and heartwarming. The colorful uniforms and endless school spirit, but do you know what really goes behind the scenes of marching band? Let’s ask my cousin, and a friend of mine!
To find out, I have interviewed both of them and learned about their experiences, challenges, and what keeps them going forward with this.
When I asked what inspired them to join the marching band, they both mentioned a love for music and teamwork.
“I love being part of a band, it feels like a family,” Githu has said. “You have to focus on your steps, your instrument and the music all at once, once you get past that part it’s really fun & easy.”
My friend was saying how it was a hard journey to achieve where he is now. It was a bumpy road but it was all worth it in the end. He loves his marching band members and will always support them.
“If you’re determined to do something, you are actually determined to do it, instead of slacking off. That’s how you get somewhere in life,” Yanuth said.
