Panther Press: Do you like working at your current job?
Ms. Wood: I absolutely love working at my current job. The people I work with are like family and I just adore all the patients that come there.
Panther Press: Do you take pictures of people’s teeth?
Ms. Wood: No I do not. The dental assistants do that job.
Panther Press: Do you have any assistants that help you with your job?
Ms. Wood: I work with one other person at the front desk and we are a busy office and need two people at all times in order for the office to run smoothly.
Panther press: What’s the hardest part of your job?
Ms. Wood: I think the hardest part is dealing with insurance companies all day long, trying to get things approved and paid for.
Panther Press:Is there anything you don’t like about your job?
Ms. Wood Yes, I don’t like the long hours sometimes because then I can’t be with my family.
Panther Press: Do you ever get to assist the Doctor?
Ms. Wood: Sometimes which gets me excited because I no longer get to work chairside.
Panther Press:Do you get vacation time?
Ms. Wood I get 2 weeks off PTO which is nice and I can use it for anything I want.
Panther Press: Do you travel far for work?
Ms. Wood: No, I do not thank god lol I work 8 minutes from my house so I can come home for lunch daily.
Panther press:Is it really busy at your office?
Ms. Wood: This time of the year is really busy. Everyone is trying to use their dental benefits before the new year.
Panther Press: How many hours a week do you work?
Ms. Wood: I work 32 hours a week and I have Wednesdays off which is a nice break during the week.
Panther Press: Does everyone get along in the office?
Ms. Wood: For the most part we do. I mean we do have some things that we don’t agree with and it’s ok. That’s what makes it different.
Panther press: Was this your dream job ?
Ms. Wood No, my dream job was to be a mortician but after really thinking about it I am a happy person and I feel like that would just make me sad daily.
