Mia Weiser is a gym teacher here at IMS. She mostly teaches 8th grade but sometimes teaches other grades, too.Weiser has been teaching for 3 years and still plans to teach for many more.
The first thing she does is she goes to the gym for a workout at 5 a.m. She usually makes an omelet for breakfast and usually arrives at school at 7:30. When she gets to school she usually signs in.
Weiser sets up the games for the kids to play and also leads the stretches for the kids to get their bodies moving. Her first class is second period and she teaches 8th grade.
“Sometimes the 8th grade students give her a hard time and sometimes they pay attention,” she said.
During her lunch break she doesn’t really go anywhere. If she really has to choose she would choose Chick-Fil-A because she really likes their food. During lunch she likes to eat and takes time to catch up on any work she has to do.
Her favorite period is fourth period 8th grade because after the class she goes on break. She likes to go on break and relax. She likes to relax because sometimes she gets headaches from the kids.
Weiser is really tired at the end of the day. She feels like the kids at the end of the day act more crazy. She is happy to go home because the 6th period is very chaotic and makes her tired.
When she gets home she usually lays down and watches tv. For dinner she eats out or makes it herself. She doesn’t like to stay up too late because she has work the next day and has to get there early.
Weiser is excited for the next day because she loves to teach. Also, she is excited for any new kids that she gets to teach.
