Ms. Donnelly: Hi, you are with Ms. Donnelly.
Panther Press: How are you?
Ms. Donnelly: I’m doing just awesome, how are you guys doing?
Panther Press: We’re good. What do you teach?
Ms. Donnelly: I teach theater arts.
Panther Press: Which grades do you teach?
Ms. Donnelly: I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
Panther Press: How do you like Iselin Middle School so far?
Ms. Donnelly: So far, Iselin Middle School has been treating me amazingly. I loved
meeting all the students here, and all the teachers have been treating me nothing but nicely.
Panther Press: What made you want to teach theater arts?
Ms. Donnelly: For me, I fell in love with theater in about middle school, and so I figured why not teach middle school theater, if that’s when I fell in love with it.
Panther Press: What is the best part about teaching theater arts to middle schoolers?
Ms. Donnelly:I think the best part is actually getting to see students see their work. So, when we do certain scenes, or certain things, that improves the way they feel. And the way they look after a scene, you can see how proud they are of themselves.
Panther Press: Do you enjoy teaching your students?
Ms. Donnelly: I do enjoy teaching my students.
Panther Press: Why?
Ms. Donnelly: Because I think this job is very unique, and the way I get to teach you guys theater, and also get to know each of my students individually, so I get to know you in the hallways, see you around, and we also get to perform such a special subject
together.
Panther Press: Do you like the environment of this school?
Ms. Donnelly: I do like the environment of Iselin Middle School. I think that it is a great environment.
Panther Press: How was it when you first came to the school?
Ms. Donnelly: So when I first came to this school, it was definitely a little intimidating, because it’s such a big school. But immediately I had my mentor teachers and Ms. Leone to really help me out with getting behind everything.
Panther Press: Do you like the drama club at this school?
Ms. Donnelly: I do love the drama club at this school. This is my first year running drama club.
Panther Press: How is the play at this school going so far?
Ms. Donnelly: The play is going very well, we are currently halfway through the show, and we just finished working on scene seven. We’re getting a lot of props and set things
together for the show.
Panther Press: Do you have anything you would like to add?
Ms. Donnelly: I would like to add, I tell all my students this, but it’s my favorite Shakespere quote, it is, ”All the world’s a stage.”
