As the winter concert drew near, the energy among the performers was unmistakable—a blend of excitement and nerves filled the air. For Carlos Vasquez and Tamashausky, the days leading up to the event were a whirlwind of preparation and emotion. Carlos poured countless hours into studying the music, determined to deliver his very best on stage. Meanwhile, Tamashausky took on the ambitious challenge of choosing and mastering six different songs, dedicating months to ensure each piece was concert-ready.
Both Carlos and Tamashausky faced their own set of obstacles. Carlos wrestled with the ongoing struggle of keeping everyone present at rehearsals, noting how inconsistent attendance threatened to derail their hard work. Tamashausky, on the other hand, found some of the music particularly tough and had to adjust to the rigors of early morning practices. Despite these hurdles, both stayed committed to their goals.
Emotionally, the journey was a rollercoaster. Carlos admitted to feeling stressed as he worked to keep his fellow performers engaged and motivated. Tamashausky, while confident and excited, also felt the pressure—especially when technical problems cropped up during rehearsals. Still, both pushed through, driven by a shared passion for music and performance.
When concert day finally arrived, relief and pride washed over them. Seeing their hard work come together on stage was a moment of triumph. Yet, despite the success, they chose not to celebrate right away. Organizing a post-concert gathering with such a large choir proved too complicated, so they decided to save the festivities for after the Spring concert.
Carlos and Tamashausky’s story is a testament to the perseverance, teamwork, and love for music that drive performers to overcome challenges and achieve something truly special together.
