Mr. Schmidt is a fun and funny Geography teacher and he also teaches history. We are going to interview how Mr. Schmidt makes geography fun.
Press: How are you doing today?
Mr. Schmidt: I am wonderful, how are you?
Press: I am Good. What is your opinion about geography and history?
Mr. Schmidt: I love geography and history.
Press: Why do you love geography and history?
Mr. Schmidt: I’ve always been a big fan of geography and history, even before I was a teacher. I’ve always found maps very interesting, and I’ve always enjoyed different types of geography and history I’ve been a fan of since I was very little. When I was like three years old, my mother would show me Liberty’s Kids.
Press: How do you make geography fun for kids?
Mr. Schmidt: I just try to relate geography to things that interest my students and try to relate it to their lives.
Press: Did geography bring you joy when you were a kid or when you recently started?
Mr. Schmidt: Geography always brought me joy. I’ve always been a fan of maps and stuff. One day we were throwing the big maps out, like the ones that go over the whiteboards and I kept one and took it home. It is currently hanging up over my window.
Press: How big is the map?
Mr. Schmidt: It’s about six feet across.
Press: Is there any thing you dislike about Geography and History
Mr. Schmidt: When students don’t share the same passion as me.
Press: What are your passions?
Mr. Schmidt: I just love the subject so much I want to share it with people.
Press: How do you make Geography so interesting ?
Mr. Schmidt: I just try to be funny, I try to entertain you guys and give you the information you need as well.
Press: What games do you guys play in your classes?
Mr. Schmidt : We play a lot of kahoot, blooket, and gimkit.
Press: What do you like about Kahoot, Blooket, and Gimkit?
Mr. Schmidt: You can take normal learning into a game that makes it fun and you’re not thinking about learning your thinking about playing the game.
Press: Do you care if kids eat in your class?
Mr. Schmidt: I do not prefer it.
Press: If you didn’t teach Geography or History what would you teach?
Mr. Schmidt: I would probably teach English because my mom was an English teacher.
Press: Were you good at English when you were a kid?
Mr. Schmidt: I am pretty good at English and I’m good at writing.
