Mrs. Cliento is the principal of IMS and this interview is about what it is like being a principal. She discussed what it is like as a principal of IMS.

Panther Press: Is it fun being a principal? If so why or why not?

Mrs. Cilento: Sometimes yes and sometimes no, discipline is never fun.

Press: Do you like being a principal?

Mrs. Cilento: Sometimes yes and sometimes no.

Press: What is one of the most important jobs as a middle school principal?

Mrs. Cilento: Keeping everyone safe.

Press: What is your favorite part of this job?

Mrs. Cilento: Dealing with students and staff.

Press: Why did you become a principal?

Mrs. Cilento: I like being a leader.

Press: Has the school improved since you started here as a principal?

Mrs. Cilento: Yes, of course.

Press: What is your plan to ensure student success?

Mrs. Cilento: Push your teachers to do better every day

Press: Do you think you are a good principal?

Mrs. Cilento: I hope so!

Press: Do you think the students at this school trust you as a principal?

Mrs. Cilento: That is up to you guys to answer.

Press: Is there anything that you would like to improve on as a principal?

Mrs. Cilento: I would like to improve as a principal student learning and engagement.

Press: Is there anything you would like to add?

Mrs. Cilento: I would like to bring back old classes, such as woodshop, metal shop, cooking, and hands-on fun courses.

Krishn D. is a student at IMS and a football athlete. He lives with his mom, dad, brother, and grandpa. He has a pet bird named Shrea. His sibling does swimming (the funny thing is he is scared of deep water). His dad owns a business called Bhavy Packaging which is going great. Dhorajia’s dad supplies people such as pharmaceutical companies. Krishn loves his family more than anything. Krishn D.'s` favorite thing is football, he is great at it. He loves to ride his electric scooter and does scooter stunts on his stunt scooter. Another thing is to watch football, he thinks he could learn from it and get better. His skill in creative writing is impressive. Most of all he loves to travel with family and hang with his friends.

Renato Ronquillo, Reporter

Renato Ronquillo also known as (RJ) is a 6th-grade student at IMS. Ronquillo lives only 2 minutes away from this school with 1 annoying sister and 1 dog named Jovie and Sophia. Ronquillo has been an athlete for 7 years playing baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, football, and track. His favorite sports are baseball and soccer. Ronquillo plays for 2 soccer teams and 2 baseball teams. Though Ronquillo plays a lot of sports one of his favorite hobbies is gaming. He plays MLB the show, FIFA, cod, and more. Ronquillo's favorite baseball team is the New York Yankees, his all-time favorite player is Derek Jeter. Ronquillo is a huge sports fan.

Joshua Lozano-Ortiz, Reporter

Joshua is a soccer player and goes to IMS. He also loves football,basketball,baseball,hockey,and jiu jitsu. He lives with his dad,mom,sister,brother,and grandpa. Joshua also has two pets one is a dog and the other is a bird. Joshua’s hobbies are video games,soccer,watching movies,riding his go kart,and talking to his friends. Joshua likes the color green and he is also allergic to bug bites.
