As of right now, the wildfires in Southern California are just getting worse.
Science Teacher David Vizian is really upset about what happened with the wildfire in Southern California.
“I think it’s horrible that these poor people are living through these wildfires that are ravaging their homes and it’s an awful situation,” Vizian said.
He thinks that the people who built the houses should do better.
“They could make the houses more fire-resistant, fix vegetation, and improve water access,” Vizian said.
Although he said the state government could do better, they are trying their best, and it will be hard to stop a massive wildfire in a highly populated area.
He said we could help by donating to the Red Cross fund and sending clothes to various organizations.
He said that there is some speculation as to what caused the fire.
“They think someone might have started a fire. The electrical companies should have turned off the power because the winds could have caused the cords to hit each other and start a spark,” Vizian said.
He said that if he were in California, he would spray his house and cut all of the underbrush to limit the spread of the fire.
He then gave his final thoughts on the matter of the California Wildfires.
“It’s a terrible situation. These poor people lost pets, neighbors, and loved ones’ lives,” Vizian said.
He seemed very remorseful and sad about what’s happening and strongly urges you to donate to any of the organizations that help these people.
