Many things have changed since the transition from elementary school to middle school. You have different teachers for each subject, lockers, sports, and after school activities. But there’s one thing that catches the attention of every student, that astonishes them: There’s an option of pizza for lunch every day! Students used to go crazy for this splendid delicacy in elementary school; imagine what it would be like in middle school! And here it is. A dream come true! Pizza every single day.
Some agree that allowing pizza every day as an option for lunch is the best decision made. Others might say that it gets boring; it’s just ordinary food served in a public school. So now, you’re probably wondering, “What do others think about it?”
So, we asked a few students who go to IMS, along with a teacher who works here as well.
“I used to eat it every single day and then I got sick of it. I used to have the same taste in my mouth. Whenever my mom made food, it tasted like school pizza. So, I decided to take a break from it,” sixth grader Premika Chinnam said.
Another student who goes to IMS, Sanvi Patel, was asked the same question. This is her opinion:
“I think pizza at school every day is not good because sometimes people need a variety. Pizza every single day; some people would eat it every single day, and that’s not good for you, or for your health,” she said.
“Honestly, it’s a great backup if there’s stuff I won’t eat,” said Elise Chao, a 6th grader who attends IMS.
Lastly, Mr. Herre, a history teacher at IMS shared his thoughts.
“Personally, I grew up eating pizza all the time. As an adult, that’s probably…not the best thing to do every single day, but…I’m okay with it. I’m okay with that lifestyle,” Herre said.
So there you have it! What do you think? Do you believe that having pizza every day is cheesy, or a pie full of happiness?
