Ms.Leone is a cool, great, Amazing, and wonderful Art Teacher in IMS.I wanted to interview Ms.Leone about what she thinks about IMS because it will be really cool to know how such an amazing teacher thinks about IMS.
Elisa: If you could change anything from IMS what would it be?
Ms.Leone: I would change some of the electives and add things like home economics and woodshop to learn life skills.
Elisa: If you could put any other food in the menu what would it be?
Ms.Leone: Add more nutritional options and add more protein instead of pizza.
Elisa: If you could add a rule what would it be?
Leone: That you can’t chew gum because it gets stuck to the bottom of my tables.
Elisa:Do you like no Tech Monday?
Ms. Leone: Yes, the computer screens are a distraction and cause too much stimulations. Giving students break from technology helps them focus.
Elisa: Do you like Moving Monday?
Ms. Leone: Yes, because it’s great for Middle Schoolers to get more exercise during the day instead of sitting in a chair for too long.
Elisa: What is your point of view on the system for kids to go to the bathroom?
Ms. Leone: I think kids singing in the bathroom should be monitored as there have been recurring problems and a lot of fooling around and distractions.
Elisa: Do you think lockers are the best for kids or do you think they should bring their backpacks?
Ms. Leone: I think it’s good that students leave their personal belongings in their locker so they can’t hide in their backpacks and carry it around with them it is a great rule to leave phones in their lockers so they don’t get them taken away and are not tempted to use them.
Elisa: What do you think about 6th Graders?
Ms. Leone: I think 6th graders this year are wonderful. I have two 6 grade classes and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my students. They are really silly, kind, and motivated.
Elisa: What do you think about 7th Graders?
Ms. Leone: I only have a 7th grade class and it is first thing in the morning. They always seem very sleepy, but I also enjoy teaching them and getting to know them. Hopefully they are excited about being 8th graders next year and request to have art.
Elisa :What do you think about 8th graders?
Ms. Leone: I think the 8th graders are ready to graduate and go to high school so it could be a little disruptive at times but I have had wonderful experiences with them. I will miss everyone and hope they are ready for next year!!!
Elisa: Well thanks for your time and for letting me interview you.
Ms. Leone: Thank you for interviewing me.
