Mr.Dillon is a teacher in IMS he teaches ELA and works with Mrs.Olarte. He is really funny, kind, fun, awesome, and an amazing teacher.

Elisa Francisco: What do you think about your students this year?
Mr. Dillon: I think the students are great this year. I enjoy getting to know them.
Elisa Francisco: What is the structure of your classes ?
Mr. Dillon: There is a Do Now sometimes it is a blocker or type one writing, then a mini lesson a brief lesson then an activity usually in groups or partners and finally a quiz.
Elisa Francisco: In which way do you like to teach more, by games or just work?
Mr. Dillon : I think you need a balance, so both because kids need to stay interested.
Elisa Francisco: What do you do in your free time?
Mr. Dillon:I like to exercise. I like to read and learn especially about things that are spiritual.
Elisa Francisco : What part of Language Arts do you like to teach best and why?
Mr.Dillon: I like to do vocabulary most. I feel I am good at writing, but I don’t like that as much as vocabulary. It is much more difficult.
Elisa Francisco: How long have you been teaching?
Mr.Dillon: I have been teaching for 22 years.
Elisa Francisco : What other jobs have you had?
Mr.Dillon : I have been in the military. I have been a bartender, salesman, network technician briefly, and roofer.
Elisa Francisco:What are other subjects or grades have you taught?
Mr.Dillon: I have thought 6 grade science and language arts at the same time.
Elisa Francisco: Do you have any pets?
Mr.Dillon: No, I don’t have any pets. I used to have a dog that died in 2021.
Elisa Francisco : What is her name (the dog’s name )?
Mr.Dillon: Her name was Jema.
Elisa Franciso :Did you think you were going to be a teacher when you were younger?
Mr.Dillon: No, I never thought that I was going to be a teacher until I was in my 30s because I felt like teachers were trapped in one room and now I’ve been in room 512 for 22 happy years.
