His teammates are respectful towards one another. There were kids who had never played baseball before and other teammates were helpful to them.
McGarry was able to teach his team. He did drills and worked on what they are not good at.
“Some days we focus on fielding and then some days we just do batting practice and focus on hitting,” McGarry said.
Baseball was one of McGarry’s favorite sports and he decided to coach it. He grew up playing baseball. He enjoys watching baseball.
There were qualities that he wanted from his team. He wanted them to be coachable and he wanted them to lift up their teammates and be supportive of each other.
He encouraged his team and said it is good to give all positivity to people and tell them they can be better in anything as long as they believe in themselves.
He has lost a lot of games. He has lost 40 games in a row but he doesn’t let that stop him. He kept trying and trying until he was better, making this win a big moment for the team.
