The JFKMHS football team finished the season at 6-4. About 20 hours a week is dedicated to practice and conditioning. That goes to show how much work and practice they put into the team.
Coach McGann stated, “I would say there is a pretty strong connection. Everybody seems really close. We have a lot of pride in the team, we bring each other up when we’re feeling down. We like to celebrate the good things and learn from the bad things.”
Their proudest moment this season was their win against Monroe on October 3. They won that game 32-13. This was their proudest moment so far because they have always lost to that team. That also shows how dedicated they are, not only to the team but also the sport and how much they have improved.
Their coaches say that they have drastically improved over the years. Their experience and consistency has gotten better. Especially with their under-the-radar players such as Jah’Sir Broy and Jamir Campbell.
Their best players this season included wide receiver Grant Lorentzen, quarterback Richie Trotmen, running back Fiheem Howle, Jr. and Leon Prince.
The expectations for the players off the field are very high. They really just need to remember that they are not only representing themselves but they are also representing the team. If they are caught doing something they are not supposed to be doing, that can result in them getting kicked off the team.
